Bridie Edwards is an Associate Lawyer in the Commercial Law team at Bradley & Bray. Joining the firm in 2019 as a law clerk; she was admitted as a Lawyer in 2020 and in July of 2023, was promoted to Associate Director. As an integral member of our leadership team, Bridie assists the Director Jacob Corbett, Partner Peter Griffin, and Practice Manager Debbie Davis in managing the firm. Her role involves overseeing project management and internal processes to ensure our clients receive the highest possible quality of service. She also plays an active role as mentor to her younger colleagues.

Over her career as a lawyer, Bridie has developed wide-ranging expertise, and provides invaluable assistance and advice to clients of the firm's commercial practice, providing expert advice and assistance on complex property matters, corporate matters, and large-scale commercial transactions. Bridie is also responsible for all aspects of Commercial Leasing, actioning all matters for both our Landlord and Tenant clients.

Relatively early in her career, Bridie's hard work and dedication has earned her outstanding accolades in the legal profession, most recently including Australia-wide recognition in Australasian Lawyers Most Influential Lawyers for 2024> Other awards received include the Australasian Lawyers Rising Stars award for 2023; and finalist in the 2023 Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 awards for Commercial Law. Regionally she has been recognised in both the Sunshine Coast Daily’s Rising Stars under 30 – 2022 and Top 12 Young Lawyers 2022.

In addition to completing a Masters degree in Business Law and Transactions in 2022, Bridie achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest ever elected member on the Queensland Law Society Council in 2021 where she served on 5 different committees, including CPD, Governance, Professional Conduct, Innovation and Finance and Risk. In 2022, Bridie was appointed as an inaugural member of the Infotrack Legal Tech Advisory Group as an industry consultant, tasked with representing the views of Australia’s legal and conveyancing practitioners on the most effective way to adopt technology to innovate in legal practice.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Bridie's passion for travel has taken her to various destinations, including the U.K., Europe, U.S.A, Fiji, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand. With an insatiable thirst for adventure, she is always in the stages of planning her next getaway!
